Teenagershave a lot of energy ,and can very easily lose a lot of weight in a relatively shortperiod of time.

Even though, teens are always surrounded by unhealthy food choices.

In thisvideo I will be sharing with you 7 steps for fast weight loss for teens.

1.

Start eating breakfast.

Some teens thinkskipping breakfast is a quick way to shed pounds.

However, eating breakfast will jumpstart your metabolism and prevent overeating during the day.

Chose a meal that has proteinfor staying power, such as an egg white omelette with mozzarella cheese, fruit and milk.

High-fiberfoods, such as whole wheat toast or whole wheat cereal are also good options.

2 Watching your drinks Too many sodas, juicesand sports drinks can really add up.

Replace them with water.

You should have at least8 glasses of water a day! Water rinses out unwanted toxins from your body and keeps yourbrain sharp.

It keeps you hydrated.

3.

Filling up on fruits and veggies Most fruitsand vegetables are high in fiber and nutrients while low in calories.

That means you'll fillup faster and eat less.

Try having fruit as snacks or before meals to cut calories withoutfeeling hungry.

4.

Avoid fast food There's nothing wrong withhaving an occasional burger and fries, but avoid having those types of foods every day.

Make them a treat that you only have every now and then.

5.

Avoiding mindless snacking If you get hungryin the afternoon, keep your snacks healthy by avoiding candy, cookies, and other temptingsweets.

Also, pay attention to other reasons you may eat, like being bored, tired, or feelingblue.

Emotional eating only makes things worse and doesn't make your problems go away.

7.

Exercise every dayGet at least 1 hour of exercise every day, even if it is just taking a long walk.

Choseactivities that you enjoy.

An easy way to lose weight quickly and meet the daily physicalactivity requirement is by joining an after school athletic team.

Basketball, tennis,track and other organized activities will assist in burning calories and losing weightquickly.

Enlist your friends to join you on your journeyto weight loss.

If you're embarrassed about asking them to help you out, just ask if theywant to go to the gym with you.

And don't spend your days sitting on the couchwatching TV! Fast weight loss will only be achieved with diet and exercise.

Everyone loves midnight snacks.

Are you concernedabout your waistline? Of course you are.

Everyone is.

There is no escape.

Well a new study doneby researchers at the Salk Institute shows that consuming your food within a limitedtime frame could not only help reverse the effects of obesity but the effects of diabetesas well.

At least in mice.

Satchidananda Panda, the professor who leadthe study, conducted a similar study in 2012 wherein he fed 100 mice identical high-fat,high calorie diets.

One group was allowed to consume the food whenever they wanted,while the other group could eat as much as they wanted, but only within an 8 hour timeframe.

One of the groups fattened up.

I’ll bet you can guess which one.

But in this new study things got a little more complicated.

The study was done on nearly400 mice of different sizes, ranging from normal to obese.

He fed the mice differentkinds of diets consisting of high fat, fat and sucrose or just fructose.

And the finaldifference was there were varying time restrictions instead of just the one 8 hour window.

Toa certain degree, any of the varying diets and time restrictions showed benefits.

No matter the diet, the mice who had time restrictions of 9-12 hours showed similarlylean mice.

The group that was given a 15 hour window, however, saw less results.

There wasalso a group of mice that were given cheat days, and were allowed free range eating onlythe weekends.

These mice looked very similar to the mice who had time restrictions sevendays a week, which suggests that the diet can even withstand temporary interruptions.

But most significantly, the mice who became obese due to the free-range diet were eventuallyrestricted to 9 hour windows.

Although they were consuming the same caloric amount, withina few days their body weight dropped by five percent and eating this way prevented themice from further weight gain.

While all of this is really interesting, itisn’t exactly new information.

Intermittent fasting has been a method of weight loss inhumans for several years.

Humans naturally fast– at least for some amount of time everynight when we go to sleep.

When we wake up, our fast is broken at breakfast.

I know, wordsmean things sometimes.

A super long time ago humans didn’t knowhow to control fire.

So they hunted and ate in the day, and protected themselves againstpredators and slept at night.

Then we learned how to control fire, and THEN created artificiallight, creating an artificial day, and artificial feeding times.

Our bodies have circadian rhythmsthat tell us to stop eating after a certain point in the day which, unfortunately, manyof us ignore.

The later you stay up to say, watch tv with a bowl of ice cream or driveto taco bell for that fourth, fifth and sixth meal, the more your digestive system, alongwith all the hormones and enzymes that manage it, are thrown off and unable to process thefood you eat.

And those extra calories end up in all the places you don’t want themin the form of fat.

So restricting your intake of food to a certaintimeframe is basically just extending the time between your last meal and the breakingof your fast, which gives your body the time to burn away your fat stores for energy.

Panda’sresearch suggests that the longer we eat the lazier our metabolisms become.

But once yourestrict your consumption to an 8 to 12 hour window, our metabolisms will burn more caloriesday and night.

Snacks can be difficult for a lot of bariatricpatients.

A really great and easy snack is a stick of string cheese and a handful ofalmonds.

That will give you 15 grams of protein.

Another great snack is a half a containerof your favorite Greek yogurt with maybe a tablespoon of your favorite flavor of wheyprotein powder and that should give you anywhere from 18-20 grams of protein.

Another greatsnack is a scrambled egg with a tablespoon of parmesan cheese.

That will easily giveyou 10 grams of protein.

One more quick and easy snack is a half a cup of cottage cheeseand that's going to give you around 15 grams of protein.

So first of all obviously veggies amazing we've got some nice bright redcolor right here but it's not fluorescent orange out of a bag with loads ofchemicals so delicious veggies loaded with water and fiber volume going tokeep you full of course also the vitamins and the minerals then we've got theguacamole many people still afraid of fat.

Do not be afraid of fat.

Fat isyour friend your friend.

Fat can actually help you burn fat.

Oh wait I do want to saythis is not a portion for one person.

For one snack at least this is a little bigger sothis would be if you and probably about two friends were sitting down togetherfyi ok moving right along let go forsomething a little bit sweet let's say you want a little bit more of a sweeter snack we've gotberries, again loaded with water and fiber volume and of course the antioxidantsThen we've got ricotta ricotta nice and creamy but also has some protein andcalcium in there and then the flax seed has been healthy fat and some fiber.

The combination will keep you full and satisfied again not exactly one portionmore like two or three friends sitting down together ok finally we have one ofmy absolute all-time favorite favorite snacks.

An apple and peanut butter witha little cinnamon absolutely delicious First of all green apples are actually the highest inantioxidants of any apples you know I'm an antioxidant fan also just sodelicious and tasty crunchy you can satisfy that crunchy craving there.

Peanut butteragain who does not love peanut butter protein and fat and fiber peanut butterof course go for natural peanut butter though we don't want peanut butter withany hydrogenated oils or added sugars in there.

Stay away from that throw that away if that's what's in your pantry.

The cinnamon actually can help control your blood sugar and cinnamon has also beenshown to help relax you so crunch on that Apple release a little stress andthe cinnamon will also help relax you so three great snacks, the combination ofthese nutrients keep you satisfied they keep you full, they keep you happy, you can satisfycrunchy cravings you can satisfy salty cravings you can satisfy sweet cravings get in your snacks, eat consistently throughout the day and ifyou actually check out below this video you'll see the proper portions so youdon't you know we need this whole plate at once and then say Keri I snacked and I was sick and got fat.

I've lost 16 pounds this week! "Woo hoo!" I'm going to tell you how.

Hi, my name's Owen Tonks and welcome to episode three of Owen's Diet Diary.

Last week was the start of my weight loss.

I weighed in at a whopping 30 stone 11 pounds.

What? Why?! I now weigh 29 stone 9 pounds.

16 pounds gone.

[CHILDREN CHEERING] Here's the changes that I made that you can do too.

One of the key changes that I made is planning and tracking.

I planned what I was going to eat ahead of time.

Fruit for breakfast, apples bananas.

In the morning I decided what I was probably going to have to eat that evening.

So that I had enough left to allow myself the Weight Watchers points, or calories, or whatever you're counting so that you don't go over your limit.

I tracked each meal that I ate as I ate it.

There's a full list of everything I ate in the description box below.

I could look back later on in the day.

Do I want to eat that? Do I have enough points? Am I able to eat that and still lose weight? Yes! [BOOS AND JEERS] I cut out junk.

Chinese takeaways, pizza, McDonald's breakfast.

I replaced those with healthier foods.

I'm not really a big fan of sweets, I did have the odd bag of crisps.

But I made sure that they were within my allowance so that I lose weight.

If you want to eat out, don't panic.

I did, so I checked online before I went to the restaurant.

I chose what I was going to have and I stuck to it.

You can do the same with whatever you're counting – calories, fat content etc, whatever.

Increase your healthy foods.

I work at an office so at lunchtime I would often go out and get something from a fast food place.

I still went to Subway this week.

Rather than having a foot-long sandwich, I replaced it with one of their salad bowls.

Increase my activity.

I usually work from home.

I roll out of bed in the morning, I sit down on my laptop, and I work.

I was working in the office this week.

So, I had get up at 7 o'clock in the morning, I had to walk out of the house, walk down to the train station.

I was on my feet more.

When you total that up throughout the day, you could be doing an hour more of exercise a day.

I didn't deny myself anything.

I still did have a chocolate bar.

I counted for them and that is what worked for me.

Don't punish yourself, just get straight back on it and you will be fine.

Obviously I am a big guy, I started off at 30 stone 11, I'm now 29 stone.

And I'm 6 foot 3.

Obviously you will have to adjust this for you.

16 pounds in a week is not a healthy way to lose weight, that is too fast.

But it's because I made big changes this week.

My body will probably now naturally slow down.

hey what's going on This Alek with The change your life diet Now in this video I want to talk about what are the top five healthy snacks for weight loss, and also what are the best snacks to help you lose weight fast ok now i created this diet called the change your life diet I named that because it really changed my life so it makes sense right? so when you're on the first half of the diet you get to eat a lot of food and a lot of snacks that aren't necessarily that healthy and don't really matter that much so for that when you want to snack the best things to snack on are granola bars you can even snack on like these yogurts are really good these these Greek yogurts they came out with recently where it actually has Stevia in it and it's actually a hundred calories also you can snack on salsa like a low sugar salsa and just check the sugar content and make sure it's not too high also what's good is hummus it's really just made with chickpeas and the protein content is really good it's not too high in fat and also guacamole is really good to snack on so now the second half of my diet when you lose a lot of weight you really need to snack on healthy or healthier foods because as your weight comes down you're going to want to reduce your calorie intake so the best snacks the best healthy snacks for the second part of diet are of course fruits first of all bananas apples pears peaches stuff like that you can eat as much as you want the sugar content doesn't really matter also berries like strawberries blueberries stuff like that also sliced veggies like carrots celery peppers maybe with some kind of a dip like hummus stuff like that and also the last two i'll bring it to another location to show you exactly what I'm talking about ok so now number four we have nuts and number five we have seeds now the reason I brought you down here was to show you that I don't just talk about it but this is what I do this is my own personal stash of nuts for my own consumption not for anybody else I eat a ton of nuts all the time because they're really the best snacks nuts and seeds i got five bags of pecans five bags of walnuts almonds atr really good get these big bags at the your local you know club stores like warehouse stores like Costco and BJs they're really healthy and they have the right type of fat to keep you satisfied longer and keep you from being hungry and the best thing to do is get these like unsalted non roasted nuts you don't want to get the honey roasted salted or the roasted nuts those are not really that great for you get whatever is in its natural state ok so peanuts aren't so great cashews are really good almonds walnuts pumpkin seeds are really good what else sunflower seeds macadamia nuts you know this is just my I keep them in the basement but you know sometimes I keep like some handy if I'm ever gonna leave the house you know just leave one of these in my car or you know work basically you want to have a lot of snacks around nuts are awesome fruit berries so you're not gonna get hungry and not gonna get famished so there you have it i hope you like the video if you did please click the like button below and also please subscribe for future videos and leave your questions or comments in the section below and also if you're interested check out my website change your life.
