Hey guys! Welcome back to my channel.

In this video, I wanted to share with youguys some reasons WHY you should stay motivated and some really great benefits that come fromreaching your goal weight and following through with a healthy nutrition plan, so if you wantto hear about those reasons on why you should be motivated, stay tuned.

(Intro music) You may want to lose weightbecause of different health reasons or perhaps vanity reasons.

You just want to feel better about the wayyou look, so there's a lot of different reasons why it's great to be in shape and feel better.

Obviously, you gain confidence.

It's really nice to be able to go places,speak in front of people if you have to and feel good about the way you look, feel goodabout the way you're presenting yourself.

And not be self conscious allowing that tohold you back from, you know, things that you can do, that you're perfectly capableof, so confidence is just invaluable, it is just one of those things that I think we reallytake for granted.

If you've never struggle with self esteemor body image then you may not understand but for most of us, I think we do strugglewith that so gaining confidence is a huge reason why you should stick to your plan andfollow through to the end until you reach your goals.

Accomplishing what you set out to do, justbrings you so much satisfaction so following through and all of those things really givesyou a boost to your confidence, knowing that you can do certain things that you never thoughtyou could do before.

Another really great benefit to sticking toyour weight loss plan and staying motivated is because you get more energy.

When we eat junk food, fast food, soda, highsugar content, our bodies tend to just start feeling sluggish.

Those foods contain little to no nutrientsand our bodies just can't take it after awhile so we just start feeling tired all the time.

When we eat good and we have vegetables andfruits, food that is grown from the ground from nature, natural foods, whole foods, thenthat gives our body a chance to be rejuvenated and thrive like we were meant to thrive.

We're not meant to sit around and feel sluggishand just down all the time.

You know, we're meant to be vibrant and bealive.

So losing weight gives you more energy andit helps you to sleep better too.

Recently, I've started getting up at 3 inthe morning just completely starving, to the point where my stomach hurts, I have pain,the pain is what wakes me up so I started reading what could be causing that and onething is stress.

I think stress causes a lot of different problemsfor most of us but aside from stress, another reason was problems with your blood sugar.

I'm not diabetic but I have been eating mostof my calories in the evening.

So that would make sense for me.

Because I take in all that food and the majorityof my food in the evening, that tends to raise my sugar to the point that it does enablea sugar crash and that's what's leaving me starving and just really, really hungry at3 in the morning.

So what I need to do instead is eat more mealsfrequently throughout the day.

That's going to keep my blood sugar regulatedand hopefully improve my sleeping patterns.

Another awesome reason to stay motivated andstay on track with your weight loss goals is that it gives you improved mental and physicalstrength.

Day to day tasks like going grocery shopping,bring in the groceries from the cra, picking up the dog food bag, picking up the kids,you know, just running around the house crazy, burning calories.

I think it's just really takes a lot of theload off your day when you can perform those physical activities with little to no problem.

Improved mental strength also comes from reachingyour goals and sticking to your weight loss plan so a really good reason to stay motivatedis just the improved mental status I think that you get when you work out on a consistentbasis and when you eat the right foods.

I think a lot of us know already that eatingjunk food, eating just fast food, too much sugar, too many carbs, it causes us to bedepressed.

We really need to try to avoid the fast food,avoid the soda because those added sugars, the preservatives, all the chemicals and everythingthat's in there to make you addicted to the food and make you just want more and morebut give you no nutrients, that's what we need to stay away from.

And when you do that, you start feeling bettermentally and you start feeling a little bit more of a clarity day to day.

You don't feel like you're in a fog just weigheddown.

Another reason, which is one of my favoritesreasons is an improved immune system.

Staying motivated and sticking to your weightloss plan gives you a better immune system.

You are less likely prone to disease, you'reless prone to sickness and you're also less prone to injury when you improve your physicalstrength.

So a stronger immune system is really important,especially in the day in age that we live in where we just have so many things surroundingus that are cancer causing and just wrecking havoc on our health.

You want to do the most you can, in your powerto strengthen your immune system and be the healthiest version of you that you can beso you can fight off all of those things that are coming against us in our atmosphere, inour food, all of those areas of life these days.

Another great reason to stay motivated isso you can help other people.

Other people love to be inspired, other peoplelove to see other people doing good! So that's a really great reason, that's afun reason.

Educate other people, educate your familyso that you guys can all live a healthier, happier life.

You know, that's a really great reason tostay motivated.

And then of course there's the vanity reasonwhich is one of my favorite reasons.

I think just because I struggled a lot withmy self esteem.

I'm very much a girly girl.

I wear make up and so I love all of that kindof stuff so vanity is one of those things that is important to me.

I also want to reflect a healthier lifestyle,I want to reflect that no, I don't eat junk food.

You know, I don't participate in that kindof environment or those things.

And that's something to be proud of.

It feels really great to know that you'redisciplined and you can choose the better option.

The healthier we are, the longer we live.

the longer we're there for our kids and thelonger we're just here to help impact this world in a better way.

Today's Saturday but I might not be able toget this video up until tomorrow, which would be Sunday but today is my weigh in day andfor me personally, today I did not lose any weight and my measurements didn't change eitherso I was feeling a little bit discouraged and I started thinking about all the reasonswhy I should keep going, why I should stay motivated so that's why I wanted to sharethis with you guys today.

I personally kind of dealt with this justtoday so with that said, it does happen.

It happens to all of us so I encourage youguys to keep going.

Keep pushing towards your goals.

The effort and the work IS worth it, I promiseyou.

Make it fun, do something you enjoy.

Find something you enjoy, you know, it istrial and error with cooking, with your food prep, with all of it, with exercising so ifyou just press on, you will find probably a million ways that don't work for you butin the end, you will find a way that does.

I'm not too obsessed about my meals planning.

Here, in China I usually have oatmeal for breakfast.

I add honey/yoghurt/nuts/fruits there.

Just keep on experimenting with oatmeal.

lol it's my best option for breakfast.

That's it And because of the castings I usually miss the lunch.

I mean I have some time for time.

But something's just go wrong.

Lol I usually have sushi rolls as a snack I have it in my bag right now 🙂 I like salads, vegetables, omlettes.

it's really hard to find dairy products here, in China There are some yoghurts.

But no cheese.

Yes, it's hard without European food here But you can easily find most of the products here.

Like chicken.

I don't know, I eat everything 🙂 nothing special Are you ever being on a diet, count calories or just eat intuitively? I don't count calories.

I actually don't know anything about it.

lol I just don't eat chips, don't drink coca-cola and all the stuff like that.

I'm trying to avoid too spicy food as well Sport.

I want to start running.

I do some workout routine too.

A walk a lot.

Shanghai is much bigger city than my hometown There are many interesting places to look at here You've mentioned before (in our previous interview) what you usually bring to the work trips.

I brought buckwheat, 2 packs of oatmeal.

But you can buy it here too.

But the buckwheat is hard to find in Shanghai, so i'm trying to enjoy it and eat it slowely.

lol I still have half of the package and I'm proud of it lol The honey.

But, I don't know why, I think it's not natural here.

But I buy it anyways Why not? Girl often bring honey & sweetened condensed milk to their trips I brought quark, cheese.

And I'm trying to save it for longer time because you can't buy it here as well.

As I said before, it's really difficult to find good dairy products here.

You can probably find those good in some European shops but it will be really expensive.

I also brought nuts, it's very expensive to buy it here too.

Do you know any crazy stories about models diets, weight loss or maybe eating disorders? When the girls are really starving themselves or someting like that? It really happens very often When the girl being told to lose some weight She lose some weight, then she's being told it's not enough.

She thinks she's skinny, but then she's staring overthing and count calories.

She eats like 400-500 calories a day and being on a strict diet ( like those when you can only drink and eat liquids or smth).

I just don't get it.

Yes, I know few girls who even have been hospitalised I don't think it's a normal thing 🙁 I guess they didn't realize the importance of healthy eating Do you know how they have recovered from the eating disorders? Does only hospitalising have helped? Most of them have recovered in hospital.

Their metabolism has slowed down because of all of that diets Those crazy things like having an apple/pear for brakfast/lunch and dinner.

it's hard to control your body when your metabolism isn't working properly As soon as you're done with your diet, you gain 3 times more then your previous weight – So you get an opposite effect – Yes, exactly Because your body's starting to think: are we starving again? So, most of the people I know have recovered in hospitals, but some of them has found a way out of that too.

Whats the difference between your daily menu here and your meals at home? I'm having some tasty homemade meals at home.

Soups, puree.

It's harder (eating healthy) here.

I don't cook soups, just sometimes buy it at the cafes Everything is really spicy here So you usually have to tell everyone "no spicy".

I even had an allergy because of this type of food There's a lot of rice here.

And some, I don't know, the food is really different from what I used to eat at home The first week of my stay here I used to take a medicine for my stomach When I'll come back home, I'm going to eat salads, Olivier salad ( traditional Russian cuisine), sausages.

lol My inner voice is telling me to have some sausages.

lol Have you tried some exotic food here? I've tried tofu Its taste was really strange.

Too spicy.

It's some kind of a cheese, right? Soy cheese? – Yes, it's some kind of a cheese made of soy.

You can buy it in our countries too.

– It's quite strange here it usually has a very neutral flavor.

But depending on how you will cook it, it easily soaks up the flavors of other products like sauses and etc.

So i guess you've just bought a tofu cooked with some spices And I saw a chicken feets at local supermarkets.

Yes, everybody talks about chicken feets.

Strange At the supermarkets you can also find various boiled food (like sausages, chicken and some strange stuff).

I don't know what exactly it is, but its taste is actually good.

Tofu, seaweed.

Crab balls.

It doesn't look really good, but its taste is actually fine.

I don't think this kind of food is too bad.

It looks like a soup with some boiled products in it.

The way that I like to cook is pretty on-the-fly.

Basically what i dois go to the fridge, go to the cupboards see what I have and then make meal.

It's recipe free but by the end of it you'll have a recipe you win for you! Today what Ihave is a whole head of cabbage, one-and-a-half zucchinis, an onion Naturally I'm gonna make Steak Frites, butin the sense that the stake will be the cabbage and the frites will be the potato.

That's not quite as ironic as the cabbage The first thing that we wantto do is the thing that takes the longest which is going to be the potatoes.

Step one, wash.

Washed! Now i'm going to chop.

Hello, didn't see you there.

The way I'm going to chop the potatoes is like french fries, because that's what steak frites means, steak with fries, frites en Francais – frites – I don't know I'm not going to peel them because I like eating the peel and there'sactually a lot of nutrients available in the peel.

Disclaimer my knifeskills, don't don't try to emulate these.

You mayend up without a finger! Should I do them all? what do you say? Is that a yes? Yeah okay I'll do them all.

You can never have too many potatoes.

these potatoes are a bit old I think.

They have some like funk growing in them just get rid of the funk.

And now I'm going to line This beautiful baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Usually I use parchment this isn't working!! *grunts* aluminum foil it is.

We're gonna take frites, put them in the pan.

Get the frite in there.

what do you want your frites to taste like?Delicious, uh-huh Let's get some flavor happening first things first olive oil.

Salt.

Oh it's empty.

Back to salt.

Fresh ground pepper other things we could put on here – spices – we got paprika, onion and garlic powder not a ton of this is just like a healthy sprinkle.

The paprika just gives it a little extra kick *kick*Get all this going.

I've got way too many frites in here.

You want one evenlayer of potato.

I'm really just shoving them in here.

That's what he said.

My potatoes they're all kind of lined up here and now I'm just gonna throw them in the oven.

*lights on* i'm just going to keep going because I'm alredy half way done.

The next thing I'm going to do is work on the zucchini which is going to be the side dish for our steak frites the first thing I've got here is my onion.

Get rid of the two nubs, grab the outter layers, like the skin of the onion andjust pull it off I dunno man I'm just cutting my onion the way I always cut my onion.

So I'm making like cubes of onion Don't use my cutting skills! Magic.

Frying pan on the stove.

I'm going to turn on my element to like a medium, medium high, medium.

I'm gonna go medium.

I've got my ghee.

I've got, I don't know, about a dollop in my frying pan.

Then I'm going to add my onion.

Get over here.

I've got my zucchini and a half, zucchini and a half.

*Ha* Don't don't try that at home hmm i think im just gonna do like a thin chop.

Same thing for this guy Keep chopping! I got some very thinslices and some very thick slices you really want them to all be the same.

Zucchini chopped! The oil is nice and drippy.

I'll add my onions first.

Can you hear the sizzle?*wood* give that a little mix around the best ingredient in anything that I cook isalways garlic.

If i'm reading a recipe that calls for three i'm probably goingto put in like nine.

I've got four cloves of garlic.

If you take the flat side of yourknife to do a little crush them the skin should come off really easily.

You do you whatever makes you happy.

Give that a little mix around.

Chop up your garlic.

Literally not cutting anything check this out, my onions *woah* my onions area little bit translucent.

I'm going to add my garlic.

Start with the onion,work it out, add the garlic work it out.

Salt.

Pepper.

Crushed red pepperflakes.

I'm just going to use a little bit feel free to use as much as you want that was a little bit for me – waiting! *dance break* still waiting.

Okay i'm going to add myzucchini now.

We're going to squeeze it in there.

Ya know, get it all in there.

this is my head of cabbage where all theleaves are actually on the cabbage i'm going to take this little nub and i'm justgonna, not get too too deep, but just get rid of the actual like nub I'm gonna turn down the heat on the zucchini, just like amedium-low which will be more like a simmer, not actually like burning but it'sjust cooking.

Steaks! So swear to god it's gonna be a steak.

Does it worry you when Istand like this? I'm gonna chop this into 4 big pieces, chunks of cabbage.

yeah 3 chunks *frunts* That was easy huh This is how we do it – olive oil.

Salt.

Pepper, Steak.

What I want to do is get a little bit of flavor and a little bit of oil onto my steak now there's slippery.

so the further I getfrom the core the harder it is for them to stay together because they don't havethe centerpiece so you're going to be really delicatewith these ones because they're more apt to just literally fall apart don't forget about your zucchini.

Mix it up.

i'm going to flip my potatoes I normally wouldn't put it on *woah* that's sticky stuck stuck.

I think that means they'renot ready yet it's probably where i normally useparchment paper because it doesn't stick like that.

Put them back in the oven.

The zucchini is still like doing really good i'm going to take my *hot*panini pan.

Pump that up so basically what i'm going to do isjust kind of grill the steak, cabbage steak.

So I've got my panini i'm going to take myolive oil and i'm going to start with the little one, throw it on there *thinking noises* I got it in! Cabbage steakson the grill.

So now they just really need to cook obviously.

So the panini press comes with a lid, fancy! Helps push it down so you get actual nice grill marks on it let's look at the potatoes.

This one iswicked burnt.

the edges of the potatoes that are touching the pan and are goingto get crispier faster so that's why you want to flip them around so that you get some crispiness all over get over here you tater.

Giggle that fat, back in the oven.

*So hot* the zucchinis are pretty much done the potatoes are going to be just a few more minutes the cabbages we're going to get tossed? turned? flipped? Flipped.

how about a little bit of ketchuphomemade ketchup, so good ok so the way that I do ketchup in my house, i don't actually buy premade ketchup because most of it has a bunch ofsugar and junk in it so this is a really easy one.

Tomato paste.

apple cider vinager, little bit of olive oil onion powder garlic powder.

Mix it up – mixing is fun! honey, honey just like a dollop and apinch of coriander for fun, so much fun okay checking on the steaks, they need agood flip.

Check out the grill marks perfect ok, grilling! Okay now there's literally nothing to do.

Okay so here's a fun tip, if you open your oven and turn it off and thenlet the potatoes kind of cool in the oven with the ovens door open it helpsthem get a little bit crispier it's also a thousand degrees so if you're hot don'tdo that.

Potato.

Zucchini.

Steak.

So that's it, so we've got a delicious healthy meal here, we've got our steak frites but instead of a beef steak we've got a cabbage steak, our delicious oven baked french fries and a side of the zucchinis.

Say goodbye to sugar.

Sugar is found in many foods and has severalnegative effects on the body.

By consuming sugar, its levels rise in the blood disproportionately.

Then, as sugars are simple carbohydrates, a drop in sugar equally dramatic happens causingyou feel tired, sleepy or without energy.

Prefer whole-grain carbohydrates over sweets(such as fruits, whole grain bread, vegetables) and you'll notice that your energy levelsand your uncontrollable hunger improves.

Take a weekly break.

You must change your habits completely andstop eating things that were once very common in your diet.

To make it easier and to extendthe life of your willpower, we recommend taking a break at least once a week.

Try not to beso strict in this day and eat one or more meals that you like regardless of their nutritionalcomposition.

That way, when is Monday again you will not feel overwhelmed to say no toeveryday temptations.

Make an exercise that you love.

It is a good idea and highly recommended gettingsome exercise at least 3 times a week, but better still if you like that exercise.

Doingsomething you love will help you keep your perseverance to do it.

As with the previouspoint, doing something you do not like requires more effort, so it will be easier to wantto return to your old habits.

End with junk food.

This type of food does not have any nutrientor component that can benefit your body.

They are rich in trans fatty acids, which can severelyaffect your arteries, as well as sodium.

Although sodium is necessary for our body, it is onlyin moderate amounts because otherwise, it could raise our blood pressure.

High saltcontent can also get us dehydrated.

5.

Always have a positive attitude.

When it comes a time to make a change in ourlives, it is always important to stay positive and open to change.

There will be difficultdays, but try not to be so hard on yourself.

You will always commit some error or fallwith some small temptation, but nothing serious enough to judge yourself! 6.

Eat foods high in fiber.

Foods such as bread or pasta, fruits and vegetableswill help you feel more full.

This will make it less likely to feel cravings or uncontrollableurge to eat.

Try to integrate a food with fiber in each of your meals and eat every3 to 4 hours.

Ideally would be you took breakfast, have lunch, and have two snacks (one beforelunch and one before dinner).

Anyway, all bodies are different, so you may have to adjustthese instructions to your calorie needs.

7.

Pay attention to what you eat.

Having a food and exercise diary would bea good idea.

This will allow you to plan in advance and be able to cook your food yourself.

It will also allow you to be careful and avoid eating less, which can be risky.

Whatever you do, do not expect quick changesor take drastic decisions.

What you want is to be healthier and not affecting your bodyor eating too little.

Start slowly because this way it will be easier to get used andmaintain your good habits throughout your week.
